Episode 2

For week two we got a little more creative. I think it is fair to say that even Felix Gaeta couldn't resist the beauty of these potato skin jobs! Filled with some vegan cheese, fakin bacon, green onions and garlic salt. Not even the most loyal human would turn his or her back on these. No ambrosia this week (there was an incident with the Midori), but it was still a delicious fraking snack as the drama continued to unfold. I am not sure what the final call for the menu item for week 3. It may be an homage to the fifth cylon or we may toss a bone towards Mr. Gaeta in honor of his increased roll in next weeks episode. Until then, may the Gods be with you!

Episode 1

For the triumphant return of Battlestar I decided that we should treat it like every other holiday in the Newhouse-Bailey household. By that I mean...shape cookies! Using a basic sugar cookie recipe (made vegan) I crafted yellow stars, cylon raiders and some eye's of Jupiter. The cylon raiders are slightly modified bat cookies and the color was a little purple. Not too shabby if you ask me. They came out quite nice and we washed it down with some ambrosia. And yes, for the highly trained eye those are indeed Astrodome glasses. I can't think of anything else more appropriate.

So say we all...

This is my first attempt at a blog so bear with me. In honor of the final season of Battlestar Galactica, my wife and myself first bought the Battlestar Toaster! We were pumped and it is even leaving a better "brand" on the toast than the picture here. I am a huge fan of toast and wasn't sure on how it could be improved upon, but after eating some toast that was telling me to Frak Off did the trick.
